At the head of the 3 Valleys Val Thorens is another great alternative with superb skiing and some excellent nightlife. The resort itself is the highest purpose built resort in Europe at 2300m so as a result it’s usually a very good bet for early and late season snow. Being purpose built it’s also convenient for pretty much everything, so there is an excellent mix of bars and restaurants, shops and supermarkets as well as a couple of good nightclubs for those with the energy to mix it up until late.
Accommodation wise we have a great range of possibilities again ranging from basic studio apartments for the budget conscious up to some fantastic large chalet style apartments with the use of gym, sauna and pool etc. And for those wanting to opt for something in-between, we can also help you out there as well. From a skiing and snowboarding perspective it will keep all ranges of ability happy and being purpose built, all of the runs back into the resort centre are very easy.
As a general rule you can always expect to pay a little more for the privilege of skiing in Val Thorens as it is considered one of Frances flagship resorts, you will also pay for the height and the fact that facility wise it’s a little more dynamic and cosmopolitan. It will tick a lot of boxes for almost everyone and at the end of the day we can provide a premier resort at incredible value so it’s always worth a serious look.
