Area Information - Les Arcs

Les Arcs has long been a consistent favourite and there are some compelling reasons to visit this excellent resort. It’s in the same league as Val Thorens, Tignes and Alpe D’Huez in that it would regularly feature in Frances’s top ten so think in terms of a good quality purpose built resort with some excellent varied terrain running to 212km locally and 400+km if you buy the Paradiski pass which will allow you to ski, via a link lift, into the neighbouring La Plagne area.

A bit like Tignes, the resort is split into a number of self sufficient hubs starting with Arcs 1600 then going up to the main hub of Arc 1800. Beyond that you have the new Arc 1950 and finally Arc 2000. The majority of our accommodation is in Arc 1950 and 2000 so it’s high quality ski in and ski out stuff with pools, gyms and sauna’s etc in the residences.

The ski area will suit all abilities with some beautiful tree lined pistes for the more romantic to the incredibly scary looking flying kilometer, a sheer slope where men and women the world over hurl themselves off in an attempt to break the speed record on ski’s.

The nightlife will be dependent upon which area of the resort you are staying in but suffice to say, each area has sufficient bars, restaurants and shops to keep everyone happy. It’s an excellent resort for big groups or it’s great for a couple with children. It really will tick most boxes so it’s worth some serious consideration and for a top ten resort it’s very reasonably priced considering the quality of accommodation.
